How you can support us...

Besides our personal enthusiasm and social responsibility we need your help for a further development of our projects!
Governmental subsidies are almost impossible in Cambodia, however, there are several ways you can directly help us:
1. Become a volunteer! One day or longer...
Become a volunteer! One day or longer... You are planning a trip to South East Asia? You want to travel to Cambodia or combine it with a trip to Thailand, Laos or Vietnam? Maybe you even want to visit Cambodia for a longer time? So, did you ever think about combining your personal travel aims with experiencing Cambodian culture life, not only see inhibitors, but live and work with them and simultaneously helping children? Then become a KNGO-Teacher! That's direct and most effective development aid and offers the opportunity of valuable and unforgettable experiences.
Of course it would be the best case for us (and for you) if you stayed longer than a day or a couple of days for teaching. But even just one day with one lesson given by you helps to improve our students' skills. Usually, short time volunteers can teach one hour a day from Monday to Friday from 5.00 pm - 6.00 pm. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Sun Saveth (see Links and Contact). He will come and pick you up from Battambang town. Or you can take a Tuk Tuk (maximum cost $ 5 for both ways, includes waiting for one hour). We look forward to your visit!
Stay with a Host Family
In case you want to stay one night or longer and even want to give more lessons, we offer you the possibility to have cheap board and lodging at a host family's home nearby the school (3 min walk). Homestay can be arranged seperately from KNGO, too!
The daily costs are US-$ 5 for a private big room and US-$ 5 for food, inlcuding local breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staying with a host family can make your trip easier than staying in a guesthouse, because a volunteer can interact with the members of the family and the village society, which makes your stay more interesting and gives you a genuine experience of Khmer life.
...and keep in mind: We want to teach the students as good as possible, which of course includes also your personal ideas for creating the lessons more interesting and innovative!
2. Learning material and school equipment

Besides qualified and motivated teachers we need also acceptable learning material and school equipment such as books, cassette players or even simple equipment like writing pads, notebooks or pens. Furthermore less people would expect early darkening in tropical regions as a problem. These are only some examples, but below you see our most urgent necessities.
Currently, we are facing these main problems:
- Lack of volunteers.
- Lack of fund for building our own school and purchasing our own land.
- Lack of materials for study
- Lack of modern tools, especially Computers.
- Lack of fund for teachers.
- Lack of budget to maintain the project
As already mentioned above, we urgently need computers. At the moment there are two computers in our lab, but this hardly sufficient for 20 students and we want to teach 100 students at least. Simple computers, where basic applications can be learned on or even a small donation would be enormously helpful for us.
3. Donations
