 - To prevent the drug abuse in the community through education of children and youths,

Briefly speaking we want children and youths to become peer educator in order to have a peaceful solution in the society.

Project in Battambang

Our project currently takes place in Bospo Village, a small village not far from Battambang. The Bospo Village Primary School provides class rooms for proper school lessons besides their regular school program.

This is the status quo of our efforts:

Teaching English: We currently support about 250 children with financial problems. We provide them with English lessons as well as recreational activities. Now our organization is supported by volunteers teaching English to children from Monday – Friday: 3.00 pm to 4:00 pm, 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm and 5.00 pm – 6.00 pm. We are constantly looking for more volunteers.

Drug Awareness Education: To prevent the spread of drug abuse in our communities, our organization also conducts drug awareness education for youths, who become peer educators and help reduce the abuse.

Vocational Skills Training: One basic skill besides the English language is a confident use of computers. But we can not start until we have sufficient funds. Right now, we are looking for donors who can help provide us with the necessary funds for this skill and we would appreciate your kind contribution. We will include more skills when our budget is large enough to meet the needs.

In May 2010 our first own computer lab officially was founded. Next to language and socially skills, it is obligatory to be good in comon aplce computer applicances, like e.g. MS Office. The start is done with two computers, where basic applications are teached to students. Meanwhile we thankfully had received a third learning computer. In regular classes up tp 20 students can be educated here.
